Homemade Caramel Apples
Directions
- 1Place parchment paper on a baking sheet and arrange green apples on top.
- 2Insert a cookie stick in each apple.
- 3In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of water.
- 4Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves and turns amber.
- 5Remove from heat and carefully whisk in 1 cup of heavy cream.
- 6Pour the caramel into a bowl.
- 7Dip each apple into the caramel to coat completely.
- 8Place the coated apples back on the baking sheet to allow caramel to set.
