Directions

  1. 1Combine the golden cake mix, melted butter, four eggs, and a healthy teaspoon of vanilla extract in a bowl.
  2. 2Mix well with a wooden spoon or electric mixer.
  3. 3Fold in one 398 ml can of undrained crushed pineapple using a silicone spatula.
  4. 4Pour the mixture into a pan and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for approximately 30 to 35 minutes.
  5. 5Check if a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean to ensure it's fully baked.
  6. 6Let the cake cool completely.
  7. 7In a separate bowl, fold a 102 gram package of vanilla pudding into a 1-liter tub of thawed frozen whipped topping.
  8. 8Fold in another can of undrained crushed pineapple into the whipped topping and pudding mixture.
  9. 9Refrigerate the icing mixture to keep it cool while the cake is cooling.
  10. 10Once the cake is at room temperature, you can pop it into the fridge to speed up the chilling process before icing.
  11. 11Ice the fully chilled cake with the prepared whipped topping mixture.
  12. 12Serve the cake chilled for the best taste.
