Directions
1
Wash and trim your green beans.
2
Add green beans to a jar.
3
Add garlic about halfway through filling the jar with green beans.
4
Shake your jar really good to get all the green beans you can in there.
5
Make sure to pack them in there as tight as you can.
6
Put a couple of green beans in sideways and wedge them in to ensure your weight doesn't fall through.
7
Add your glass weight.
8
Place a cup on a scale and zero it out.
9
Add non-chlorinated water to the cup.
10
Add 2 tablespoons of salt to the water.
11
Stir the salt into solution.
12
Pour the salt solution over the weight and the green beans.
13
Place the burping lid with an airlock on the jar.
14
Leave the jar out on your counter, out of direct sunlight, for a week or two, depending on how you like it.

green beans
4 cloves fresh garlic
4 cups non-chlorinated water
2 tablespoons salt
