Creole Butter Beans with Shrimp and Sausage

Directions

  1. 1Add butter or bacon grease to a pot.
  2. 2Render down sliced smoked sausage and set aside.
  3. 3Add diced onion, bell pepper, and celery to the pot.
  4. 4Cook until tender and deglaze the pan.
  5. 5Add minced garlic.
  6. 6Add black pepper, paprika, and Southern Made Creole seasoning.
  7. 7Add butter beans that were soaked overnight.
  8. 8Mix and add water to cover the beans.
  9. 9Add roasted garlic and ham base Better Than Bouillon.
  10. 10Add bay leaves and bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  11. 11Cook on low for an hour and a half.
  12. 12Add hot sauce, granulated garlic, and Southern Made seasoning to shrimp.
  13. 13Remove the top, mix the beans, and add the shrimp and sausage.
  14. 14Mix and cook for about 10 minutes until the shrimp is cooked through.
  15. 15Serve with rice.

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons baking grease
  • 1 pound smoked sausage
  • 1 onion
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 2 celery ribs
  • buku garlic
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 1.5 teaspoons Southern Made Creole seasoning
  • 1 pound butter beans
  • much as the Lord allows water
  • 1 teaspoon roasted garlic Better Than Bouillon
  • 1 teaspoon ham base Better Than Bouillon
  • some bay leaves
  • few dashes hot sauce
  • 0.25 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • some Southern Made seasoning
  • some shrimp
  • some sausage
  • some rice
