Creamy Beef Pasta

Directions

  1. 1Place a Dutch oven over medium heat and add some olive oil.
  2. 2Add the diced yellow onion, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt. Cook for 6-8 minutes until the onions are tender.
  3. 3Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. 4Add the ground beef, a big pinch of salt, a big pinch of pepper, and a teaspoon of paprika. Break up the beef and brown it.
  5. 5Make room in the middle of the pot and squeeze in a big amount of tomato paste. Cook it for a few minutes.
  6. 6Bring all the ingredients in the pot together.
  7. 7Add 3 cups of beef broth and 1 cup of heavy cream. Bring the mixture to a low boil.
  8. 8Add 1 pound of pasta shells to the boiling mixture.
  9. 9Mix in the pasta shells, lower the heat to a simmer, and cook until the pasta is tender, about 15 to 20 minutes.
  10. 10Add 5 ounces of sharp cheddar cheese.
  11. 11Taste the pasta and season with a big pinch of salt and a little bit of pepper if needed.
  12. 12Plate the creamy beef pasta.
  13. 13Garnish with some chives.
