Directions

1Prepare meringue with egg whites and sugar.
2Prepare custard with eggs, whole milk, brown sugar, flour, salt and chopped pecans.
3Gently heat custard over a low heat.
4Pour the thickened custard into a parbaked crust.
5Set additional pecans on top.
6Place the pie into the oven.
7After baking, pipe meringue on top and brown it either in the oven or with a blowtorch.
