In a bowl, mix 1.5 cups of blueberries, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 2 teaspoons of lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of corn starch.

Mash some of the berries, leaving some whole, until they are juicy.

Set the blueberry mixture aside.

In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of oats, 0.5 cup of brown sugar, 0.5 teaspoon of baking soda, and 0.5 teaspoon of salt.

Add a little bit of cinnamon if desired, it is optional.

Add 1 stick (or half a cup) of melted butter and 0.5 teaspoon of vanilla to the dry ingredients.

Stir the mixture together until it forms a crumbly dough.

Take about two-thirds of the crumbly mixture and press it into the bottom of a pan to form the crust.

Spread the blueberry mixture evenly over the crust.

Sprinkle the remaining crumbly mixture over the top of the blueberry layer.

Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 35 minutes.

Tips
You can use any fruit except melon, but you can experiment with melon.
This recipe is egg-free.
If you use vegan butter, the recipe can be vegan.
