Perfect pork ribs

Directions

  1. 1Remove the membrane from the pork back ribs, this step is optional.
  2. 2Apply mustard to one side of the ribs.
  3. 3Sprinkle BBQ dry rub (Kansas City style) over the mustard-coated side of the ribs.
  4. 4Flip the ribs and apply mustard to the other side.
  5. 5Sprinkle BBQ dry rub over the second mustard-coated side.
  6. 6Place the seasoned ribs in the smoker at 225 degrees Fahrenheit for about 2 hours.
  7. 7Prepare the spray solution by combining Italian dressing with water, filtering it with a sieve.
  8. 8Pour the mixture into a spray bottle.
  9. 9Spray the ribs in the smoker with the Italian dressing and water mixture.
  10. 10Lay out tin foil and place butter pieces, seasoning, and barbecue sauce on it.
  11. 11Place a smoked rib on the tin foil.
  12. 12Add more butter, seasoning, and barbecue sauce on top of the rib.
  13. 13Spray a little bit of the Italian dressing mixture on the rib for moisture.
  14. 14Wrap the ribs tightly in the tin foil.
  15. 15Place the wrapped ribs back on the smoker for about an hour to an hour and a half.
  16. 16Unwrap the ribs from the tin foil.
  17. 17Slice the tender and delicious ribs.

Tips

  • Membrane removal is optional, it will render down.
  • Mustard is just a binder, you won't taste it.
  • You can use brown sugar in the foil wrap if you like.
