  2. 2Add 1 cup of shortening to the flour.
  3. 3Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the mixture.
  4. 4Use a pastry cutter to cut the shortening into the flour and salt until well combined.
  5. 5Pour about 1/4 cup of Olipops Apple Crisp into the mixture.
  6. 6Knead the dough with your hands until it forms a nice ball.
  7. 7Transfer the dough to a flat, floured surface.
  8. 8Cut the dough ball in half as evenly as possible.
  9. 9Form each half into a disk.
  10. 10Wrap the dough disks and place them in the fridge while preparing the filling.
  11. 11Peel and slice 6-8 Granny Smith apples (or apples of your choice) to about 1/8 inch thick.
  12. 12Squeeze some lemon juice over the sliced apples.
  13. 13Add 3 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter to the apples.
  14. 14Mix the apples, lemon juice, and butter.
  15. 15Add 1/2 cup of brown sugar to the apple mixture.
  16. 16Add 1/2 cup of granulated sugar to the apple mixture.
  17. 17Add a good amount of cinnamon to the apple mixture.
  18. 18Add 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg to the apple mixture.
  19. 19Mix all the ingredients for the filling together.
  20. 20Take one disk of pie dough from the fridge and roll it out to 1/8 inch thick, ensuring it's about 1.5 inches longer than the pie pan.
  21. 21Carefully transfer the rolled dough into the pie pan and press it in snugly.
  22. 22Add the apple filling to the pie crust.
  23. 23Roll out the second disk of dough similarly and place it on top of the pie.
  24. 24Crimp the edges of the pie to seal the crust.
  25. 25Form three small slits on top of the pie to allow steam to escape.
  26. 26Sprinkle some sugar on top of the pie.
  27. 27Bake in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for approximately 50 minutes.
  28. 28Slice and serve the apple pie.
