DIY Tootsie Rolls

Serves 1

Directions

  1. 1Add everything except the milk powder to a bowl. Sift the cocoa powder and powdered sugar to remove lumps.
  2. 2Stir everything together with a wooden spoon until it looks like a thick brownie batter.
  3. 3Gradually add the milk powder, about half a cup at a time, stirring until a turd-like consistency is achieved.
  4. 4If it gets too sticky to mix with a spoon, use your hands to bring everything together.
  5. 5Roll the mixture into small oblong shapes and place them on parchment paper.
  6. 6Roll the shapes in the parchment paper to create a Tootsie Roll-like candy.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 0.25 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp melted unsalted butter
  • 0.25 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1.5 cups nonfat dried milk powder
