Directions

  1. 1Pour a drizzle of olive oil into a pan and warm it up.
  2. 2Place the burger patty in the pan.
  3. 3Season the burger with salt and pepper.
  4. 4Add a touch of butter to the pan to add more flavor.
  5. 5Start cooking on medium-high heat and then turn it down, using the remaining heat in the pan to continue cooking the burger.
  6. 6Baste the burger with the oil in the pan.
  7. 7Flip the burger to the other side.
  8. 8Add a touch more butter to the pan.
  9. 9Place the onions in the pan next to the burger to caramelize them.
  10. 10Season the other side of the burger and the onions with salt and pepper.
  11. 11Turn over the onions.
  12. 12Cook the burger for two minutes on each side.
  13. 13Season the burger with salt and pepper before adding the cheese.
  14. 14Place a slice of cheese on top of the burger.
  15. 15Season the cheese with salt and pepper and add another slice on top.
  16. 16Turn off the heat and place a lid on the pan to help melt the cheese beautifully.
  17. 17Smear mayonnaise on the bottom part of the bun.
  18. 18Place a soft butter lettuce leaf on top of the mayonnaise.
  19. 19Season the lettuce with salt and pepper.
  20. 20Place a couple of tomato slices on top of the lettuce.
  21. 21Rub Dijon mustard on the top part of the bun.
  22. 22Add pickles on top of the tomatoes.
  23. 23Place the burger with the melted cheese on top of the pickles.
  24. 24Add the caramelized onions on top of the cheese.
  25. 25Hit the onions with a touch of fresh pepper.
  26. 26Finally, place the top part of the bun on the burger.
