Rice Krispie Cheddar Crackers

Serves 1

Directions

  1. 1First, preheat your oven to 375°F. This ensures it’s ready to bake these crackers to golden perfection.
  2. 2In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and shredded cheddar cheese until the mixture is smooth and well combined. This step is where the rich, cheesy flavor starts.
  3. 3Gradually add in the flour, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, salt, and garlic powder. Mix slowly at first to avoid a flour cloud, then increase the speed as the ingredients combine. When the mixture starts to resemble dough, roll up your sleeves—it’s time to get hands-on! Knead it gently to bring it all together.
  4. 4Fold in the Rice Krispie cereal. Trust me, this step takes these crackers to a whole new level with their crunchy texture.
  5. 5Pinch off pieces of dough, about a large teaspoon each, and roll them into balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Use a fork to flatten each ball into a cracker shape, holding it down carefully as you lift the fork to avoid sticking. Sprinkle a little extra cayenne pepper on top for a spicy kick.
  6. 6Pop the tray into the oven and bake for 13-15 minutes, or until the crackers are golden and crispy. Let them cool before serving, then store them in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
