Homemade Ginger Ale

Directions

  1. 1Pour one cup of water into a pot.
  2. 2Add one cup of shredded ginger to the pot.
  3. 3Add one cup of sugar to the pot.
  4. 4Boil the mixture for 10 minutes on low heat.
  5. 5Gently mix the ingredients in the pot.
  6. 6Add some mint to the pot.
  7. 7Add some lemon zest to the pot.
  8. 8Strain the syrup into a bowl.
  9. 9Once the syrup is cold, add three spoons of lemon juice to it.
  10. 10Add some ice to a mug.
  11. 11Add a mint leaf to the mug.
  12. 12Pour three spoons of the syrup into the mug.
  13. 13Pour carbonated water into the mug.
  14. 14Stir gently to mix.
  15. 15Garnish with a mint leaf.
