Pan-Fried Pork Chops

Directions

  1. 1Heat your pan or skillet until your oil starts to lightly smoke, indicating it's ready for searing.
  2. 2Place the pork chops fat-cap side down in the pan, standing upright, for 2 to 2.5 minutes to render the fat and achieve a nice brown.
  3. 3Lay the pork chops flat in the pan and sear for 4 to 4.5 minutes on one side.
  4. 4Flip over all the pork chops.
  5. 5Add 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter to the pan.
  6. 6Scoot the pork chops over a little and baste each one in the melted butter, continuously for 8 to 10 minutes.
  7. 7Check the internal temperature of the pork chops. Once they reach 133 to 135 degrees Fahrenheit, they are perfectly cooked.
