Directions

  1. 1Chop the potatoes into eight pieces each.
  2. 2Melt the butter in a large stockpot.
  3. 3Add the finely chopped onions and cook until softened.
  4. 4Add the minced beef and cook until completely browned.
  5. 5Stir in the chopped root vegetables and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. 6Add the potatoes and warm water to the pot.
  7. 7Season with salt and pepper to taste and stir to combine.
  8. 8Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  9. 9Turn off the heat, cover with a lid, and let stand for 15 to 20 minutes to thicken.
  10. 10Turn the heat back on and simmer for another 5 minutes before serving.

  • 20 g butter, softened
  • 200 g onion, finely chopped
  • 500 g beef mince
  • 400 ml water, warm
  • 4 whole potato, large, cut into 8 pieces each
  • 300 g root vegetables (carrot and turnip), chopped
  • salt (optional)
  • pepper (optional)
