Place the red wine vinegar, garlic, onion, parsley, mint, oregano, salt, and pepper into a food processor and blitz until finely chopped.

In a bowl, add the minced beef, stir in the herb mixture, add the egg and breadcrumbs, then use your hands to mix until well combined.

Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and shape each into a flat patty, approximately 1cm thick and 7cm wide.

Heat a generous amount of olive oil in a pan and fry the biftekia in two batches for 3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Transfer the patties to a tray lined with kitchen paper towels to drain and squeeze fresh lemon juice over them.

500 g minced beef
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
3 whole garlic clove, peeled
1 whole red onion, peeled and quartered
1/2 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
1/2 cup fresh mint, finely chopped
1 whole egg
2 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 cup gluten free breadcrumbs
for frying olive oil
1/2 whole lemon juice

Tips
Alternatively, grate the garlic and onion, and finely chop the herbs by hand instead of using a food processor.
Serve with tzatziki and a fresh Greek salad.
