Garlic Parmesan Melting Cabbage

Directions

  1. 1Grab a head of cabbage and cut it into six pieces, making sure to cut it from the core so it doesn't fall apart.
  2. 2Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy, then remove and set aside.
  3. 3In the same skillet with the bacon fat, pan-sear the cabbage until golden brown.
  4. 4Remove the seared cabbage and set it aside on a plate.
  5. 5In the same skillet, add butter, onion, and minced garlic, then fry for about 30 seconds.
  6. 6Add cream cheese, heavy whipping cream, and chicken broth with cornstarch slurry to the skillet and stir.
  7. 7Add Cajun and Creole seasoning to taste.
  8. 8Add the seared cabbage back into the creamy sauce.
  9. 9Add the cooked bacon and some fresh parsley.
  10. 10Grate fresh Parmesan cheese over the cabbage.
  11. 11Bake the dish for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
