Great recipes know no borders - and now, neither does Clip Recipe.
We're excited to announce Recipe Translations, a brand-new feature that lets you translate any saved recipe into 29 languages with a single tap. Whether you stumbled upon an incredible Korean dish on YouTube or a French classic on TikTok, you can now read it in the language you're most comfortable with.
How It Works
Once you've extracted a recipe, just open it and hit Translate. Pick your target language, and our AI-powered translation engine takes care of the rest - title, description, ingredients, directions, equipment, tips, and even nutrition info are all translated while preserving the original structure and measurements.
The original recipe stays untouched. Translations are stored separately, so you can switch between languages at any time.
What Gets Translated
- Title & Description - So you instantly know what you're cooking.
- Ingredients - Names are translated, but quantities and units stay as-is (500g is 500g everywhere).
- Directions - Step-by-step instructions in your language.
- Equipment & Tips - No detail left behind.
- Nutrition Info - Fully translated for easy reading.

Culturally Aware Translations
These aren't just word-for-word translations. Our engine adapts ingredient names to local conventions when appropriate - so "all-purpose flour" becomes "farinha de trigo" in Portuguese, not a literal translation that nobody would recognize at the grocery store.
Edit After Translating
Translations are fully editable. If the AI got a regional ingredient name wrong or you prefer a different phrasing, just edit the translation directly - the same way you already edit original recipes.
Available on Paid Plans
Recipe Translations are available on all paid plans. If you're on the free tier, this is a great reason to upgrade and unlock the full Clip Recipe experience.
We built this feature because cooking is universal. A great recipe shouldn't be locked behind a language barrier. Try it out today - we hope translations make your collection even more useful, whether you're cooking for yourself, sharing with family abroad, or just exploring cuisines from around the world.
As always, if you have feedback or run into any issues, just reply to any of our emails or reach out through the app. We're listening.
Happy Cooking!
