Directions
- 1In a small pot on an electric stove, mix 1 cup of sugar with 0.25 cup of water.
- 2Add 1 small spoon of red food coloring and 1 small spoon of lemon juice.
- 3Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture boils.
- 4Prepare the strawberries by washing and drying them.
- 5Insert a wooden stick into each strawberry.
- 6Prepare a bowl with ice and water.
- 7Dip each strawberry into the boiling sugar mixture, ensuring it's fully coated.
- 8Immediately transfer the coated strawberry to the ice water to cool and set the sugar.
- 9For a thicker coating, dip the strawberries twice.
- 10Remove the strawberries from the ice water and place them on paper towels to dry.
