Directions

1In a small pot on an electric stove, mix 1 cup of sugar with 0.25 cup of water.
2Add 1 small spoon of red food coloring and 1 small spoon of lemon juice.
3Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture boils.
4Prepare the strawberries by washing and drying them.
5Insert a wooden stick into each strawberry.
6Prepare a bowl with ice and water.
7Dip each strawberry into the boiling sugar mixture, ensuring it's fully coated.
8Immediately transfer the coated strawberry to the ice water to cool and set the sugar.
9For a thicker coating, dip the strawberries twice.
10Remove the strawberries from the ice water and place them on paper towels to dry.
