Trim ends off the green beans and wash them.

Slice onions into half-rounds and slice the potatoes into rounds.

Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.

Heat a small amount of olive oil in a pan, add the onions, season them, and sweat until the sugars release.

Remove the onions from the pan, add a bit more oil, and brown the pork chops in the pan.

Remove the pork chops from the pan and deglaze with white wine.

Add the potato slices to the pan, spread them out, and season.

Add the green beans, browned pork chops, butter, and sautéed onions on top.

Pour the passata and a bit of water over the ingredients, cover, and bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for at least an hour.

1 bowl green beans, trimmed
1 whole onion, half-rounds
5 whole new potato, rounds
4 whole pork chop
kosher salt (optional)
black pepper (optional)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 bottle passata
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup white wine
2 tbsp butter

Tips
Water, vegetable stock, or chicken stock can be used as a substitute for the white wine.
