Directions
1
Melt the beeswax and tallow together in the same container.
2
Once the beeswax and tallow are melted, add the remaining ingredients and mix until very smooth.
3
Pour the mixture into your chosen container (paper deodorant push-up tubes, tin, or glass container).
4
Allow the deodorant to come to room temperature before using.
Ingredients
60 g Arrowroot powder
40 g Tallow
5 g Beeswax
10 g Magnesium hydroxide
2 ml Jojoba oil
1 ml Tea tree oil
1 ml Essential oil scent of choice
2 ml Essential oil scent of choice
45 g Shea butter or mango butter
Equipment
paper deodorant push-up tubes
tin or glass container
Tips
Two versions of the recipe are available: one vegan-friendly and one not.
You can replace tallow/beeswax with shea butter or mango butter for a softer deodorant.
If you want a softer deodorant, reduce the amount of beeswax or use the vegan version.
Paper deodorant tubes can be difficult to push up; consider using a twist-up tube or reusing an empty container.
