In a small saucepan, bring h cup water to a gentle boil.

Sprinkle the gelatin into the hot water and stir continuously until fully dissolved and smooth.

Stir in 1 tablespoon salt to help preserve the gel and slow mold growth.

Remove from heat.

Stir in the remaining cup cold water, then add 10 15 drops essential oil and 1 2 drops food coloring (optional).

Mix gently to avoid bubbles.

Carefully pour the mixture into glass jars or containers.

Let sit at room temperature for 2 4 hours, or until completely set.

Place your gel air fresheners anywhere you want a gentle, continuous scent bathrooms, entryways, bedrooms, closets, or cars.

0.25 cup water cold
1 packet unflavored gelatin
1 tablespoon salt
10 drops essential oil
food coloring

Tips
For a stronger scent, add a few extra drops of essential oil once the gel begins to cool.
For a decorative look, add dried flowers, citrus peel, or herbs before the gel sets.
