Hasselback Teriyaki Tofu Steaks
Directions
- 1Press the tofu.
- 2Slice the tofu into two steaks.
- 3Slice all the way along at 2 to 3 millimeter intervals using chopsticks to prevent the knife going all the way through.
- 4Combine teriyaki with soy sauce, maple syrup, lime zest, lime juice and ginger.
- 5Add most of it to the tofu saving some for topping.
- 6Push the sauce into the grooves to get as much flavour into the tofu as possible.
- 7Bake the tofu.
- 8Prepare the toppings.
- 9Serve.

- 1 block tofu
- 1 tbsp teriyaki sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp lime zest
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1 handful spring onions
- 1 pinch red chilli
- 1 handful sesame seeds
- 1 bowl rice
- 1 bowl cucumber
