Blue Ribbon Chocolate Chip Cookies
Directions
- 1In a bowl, cream together ½ cup softened butter (NOT MELTED), ¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons white sugar, and ½ cup packed brown sugar until smooth.
- 2Crack in an egg and add about a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until fluffy.
- 3Add 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and 1 teaspoon salt on top of wet ingredients.
- 4Mix until the flour is just absorbed.
- 5Add 2 cups mini chocolate chips and mix until evenly distributed.
- 6Scoop the cookie dough into 2-inch balls onto a baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 8–10 minutes.
