Put a quarter of a cup of water in a measuring cup.

Add half a cup of baking soda to the measuring cup.

Pour a quarter cup of cornstarch to the measuring cup.

Put the contents of the measuring cup in a saucepan.

Cook the mixture on low heat.

Keep stirring until the mixture comes away from the side of the saucepan.

Remove the mixture from the saucepan and set it on the table.

Let it cool down.

Once cooled down, mold the clay into the desired shapes.

Tips
After it dries, the baking soda clay is lightweight
The baking soda readily accepts paints and dyes.
