Directions
- 1Start by outlining a hibiscus flower shape on a lump of clay using a toothpick.
- 2Once the shape is defined, carefully add another piece of clay at the center of the flower.
- 3Use your fingers to mold the petals creating a bowl-like structure to make the plate.
- 4Make sure the petals are well attached to the body of the plate.
- 5Using a toothpick, add texture and shape to the petals and the stamen.
- 6Apply the pink paint on all the petals.
- 7Add darker shades of pink to the center of each petal to create depth.
- 8Use white paint to highlight the petals, adding depth and shine.
- 9Use a paint thinner to create more fluid details.
