Start by outlining a hibiscus flower shape on a lump of clay using a toothpick.

Once the shape is defined, carefully add another piece of clay at the center of the flower.

Use your fingers to mold the petals creating a bowl-like structure to make the plate.

Make sure the petals are well attached to the body of the plate.

Using a toothpick, add texture and shape to the petals and the stamen.

Apply the pink paint on all the petals.

Add darker shades of pink to the center of each petal to create depth.

Use white paint to highlight the petals, adding depth and shine.

Use a paint thinner to create more fluid details.
