- 1Gather soapberries from the ground.
- 2Place the collected soapberries in a basket.
- 3Wash the soapberries in a stream.
- 4Extract the seeds from the soapberries.
- 5Rinse the soapberries after deseeding.
- 6Dry the soapberries.
- 7Crush the soapberries in a stone mortar.
- 8Grind black beans.
- 9Grind cedar leaves and other herbs.
- 10Mix all the crushed and ground ingredients in a wooden tub.
- 11Add oil to the mixture.
- 12Mix the ingredients thoroughly by hand.
- 13Form the mixture into a ball and put it in a press to shape the shampoo bar.
- 14Remove the formed shampoo bar from the press.
- 15Use the shampoo bar for hair washing.
