Hambagu

Directions

  1. 1Start by sauteing your finely chopped onions until it's soft and golden.
  2. 2Then set it aside to cool.
  3. 3In a bowl, combine ground beef and pork.
  4. 4Add the cooled onions, one beaten egg, panko breadcrumbs soaked in a bit of milk, salt, pepper, and just a pinch of nutmeg.
  5. 5Add mayonnaise as a hack to keep the meat juicy.
  6. 6Mix it gently enough to bring it together without overworking it.
  7. 7Form the mixture into patties.
  8. 8Sear both sides of the patties until they are nice and golden brown.
  9. 9Set the patties aside.
  10. 10Use the same pan to make your sauce.
  11. 11Add two tablespoons ketchup, one tablespoon Worcestershire, and one tablespoon soy sauce to the pan juices.
  12. 12Mix the sauce up and pour it over the patties.
  13. 13Serve the Hambagu with warm rice, maybe some shredded cabbage.
