## Ingredients

- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons marshmallow root powder
- 1 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon gelatin
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

## Instructions

1. Mix together warm water and marshmallow root powder. Let it sit for at least 5 minutes or overnight in the fridge.
2. Strain the mixture using cheesecloth or a strainer into another container.
3. Pour half of the strained liquid into a measuring cup and the other half into a saucepan.
4. Add honey to the saucepan. Whisk together honey and water and bring to a boil until 240 degrees.
5. In the bowl of a mixer, add gelatin and the other half of the marshmallow root water. Mix it a little bit and let it sit until the honey and water is boiling.
6. Once the honey water is almost hot enough, start the mixer on low speed. Add the honey water slowly to the bowl.
7. Once the gelatin is melted, increase mixer speed to medium, and then high, and whip until stiff peaks form.
8. Optional: Add flavoring, such as vanilla, once the mixture is almost done.
9. Spread the mixture evenly onto a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
10. Let the mixture cool off. Refrigerate to speed up the process.
11. Once cooled, cut the marshmallows into squares using a knife or pizza cutter.
