# Japanese Purin (Caramel Custard Pudding)

Purin is one of my favorite Japanese desserts. It only takes about 15 minutes of prep-time with 4 ingredients, or 5 if you count water. The base is a smooth, creamy, and eggy custard-like pudding that's sweet, but not too sweet, and it's all topped with a slightly bittersweet caramel sauce, creating a perfect balance.
