## Ingredients

- 8 pounds Roasted unsalted peanuts
- 4 teaspoons Kosher salt

## Instructions

1. Open a 4-pound can of roasted and unsalted peanuts using a can opener.
2. Pour approximately half of the peanuts (about 2 pounds) into a food processor.
3. Add 2 teaspoons of kosher salt, which is one teaspoon per pound of peanuts.
4. Turn on the food processor and process the peanuts until they become like coarse crumbs.
5. Remove the lid and scrape down any salt and peanut crumbs that stick to the sides of the food processor.
6. Replace the lid and continue to run the food processor for a couple more minutes until the peanut butter reaches the desired smooth texture.
7. Transfer the homemade peanut butter into an airtight container.

## Equipment

- Can opener
- Food processor
- Spoon
- Airtight container

## Tips

- Run the food processor until the desired smoothness is achieved; keep in mind that the smoother the peanut butter, the thinner it will be due to the lack of stabilizers.
- The peanut butter will last about two weeks on the countertop and about a month in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
