# Pineapple Bun Cookies

These cookies feature a brown butter cookie base with a crispy, egg-custard flavored pineapple bun topping.

## Ingredients

- butter, melted
- brown sugar
- white sugar
- flour
- salted egg yolk, crumbled (optional)
- pineapple bun topping, pre-made

## Instructions

1. Melt butter in a pan.
2. Transfer the browned butter into a mixing bowl.
3. Add brown sugar and white sugar to the browned butter and whisk together.
4. Mix in flour to form the cookie dough.
5. Scoop the cookie dough into uniform balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
6. Crush the optional salted egg yolks and mix them into the dough.
7. Place a piece of pre-made pineapple bun topping onto each cookie dough ball.
8. Brush the top of each pineapple bun topping with egg wash.
