# Homemade dishwasher pods

Homemade dishwasher pods made from baking soda, citric acid, and liquid Castile soap.

## Ingredients

- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/4 cup citric acid
- 2 tbsp liquid castile soap

## Instructions

1. Mix the baking soda and citric acid together.
2. Slowly stir in the Castile soap until the mixture feels like damp sand and holds its shape when you squeeze it in your hand.
3. Press the mixture firmly into 1-tablespoon silicone molds, leaving a little room at the top.
4. Let them dry for 24 hours, then pop them out and store them in an airtight container.

## Equipment

- airtight glass jar

## Tips

- If the mixture crumbles apart, add just a tiny bit more Castile soap.
- The pods will puff up slightly as they dry, which is why you should leave room at the top of the molds.
- Use 1 pod per dishwasher load.
- Store in an airtight glass jar in a cool, dry place to keep moisture out.
