# Old-Fashioned Butterscotch Pudding

## Ingredients

- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cup milk
- 2 egg yolk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp maple extract

## Instructions

1. Whisk together the milk and egg yolks in a bowl and set aside.
2. Whisk together the brown sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a saucepan.
3. Slowly pour the milk and egg mixture into the saucepan and stir.
4. Place over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until it begins to bubble and thicken, then boil for 1 minute.
5. Remove from heat and stir in the butter and maple extract until smooth and creamy.
