## Ingredients

- 2 cups self rising flour
- 1 stick frozen butter
- 1.25 cups milk or buttermilk
- 1 tablespoon bacon drippings or butter

## Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
2. To a bowl, add two cups of sifted self rising flour and place the bowl in the freezer.
3. In a cast iron skillet, add about a tablespoon of bacon drippings.
4. Grate one stick of frozen butter.
5. Get the bowl of flour out of the freezer and add the butter to the flour. Fork or cut in the butter into the flour.
6. Add cold milk a little bit at a time, using a fork to combine until the dough starts to form.
7. Flour a clean surface and turn the dough out. Gently form the dough into a rectangle and fold it 12 times, adding flour if it gets sticky. Smooth out the dough on the 12th fold.
8. Place the cutter into the freezer until ready to use. Dip the cutter into flour to coat it completely and cut out biscuits.
