# Bengali Style Chicken Bhorta

## Ingredients

- 2 tbsp oil
- 5 whole dried red chili
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 8 whole garlic clove
- 1 whole onion, sliced
- 1 whole tomato
- 4 whole chicken leg
- 2 cup water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

## Instructions

1. Heat oil in a small clay pot and fry dried red chilies until slightly charred, then remove them.
2. Add the fried red chilies to a serving dish, sprinkle with salt, and crush them by hand.
3. Fry garlic cloves in the remaining oil until golden, then remove and add to the serving dish.
4. Sauté the sliced onion in the same oil until translucent, then add to the serving dish.
5. Skewer the tomato with a fork and char it directly over the gas flame, then add it to the serving dish.
6. Smash and mix the charred tomato, garlic, onions, and chilies together by hand.
7. Boil the chicken legs in water with salt until cooked through.
8. Shred the boiled chicken meat off the bones, then add to the clay dish.
9. Add chopped cilantro to the dish and combine all ingredients by hand.
10. Form the chicken mixture into a ball and serve over rice.
