## Ingredients

- 1 small orange (add 1-2 more oranges for added sweetness / omit and add another lemon for less sweetness!)
- 2 small lemons (add 1-2 more lemons for more acidity / reduce by half and add another orange for less acidity!)
- 0.25 cup chopped fresh turmeric (peeling optional)
- 0.25 cup chopped fresh ginger (peeling optional)
- 0.125 tsp fresh black pepper
- 0.25 tsp oil (such as extra virgin, optional / to help improve turmeric absorption)

## Instructions

1. If using a juicer, add orange, lemon, turmeric, and ginger to the juicer (peel orange and lemon if recommended by your juicer).
2. If using a blender, add turmeric and ginger to a high-speed or small blender (like a Nutribullet).
3. Add the juice of the orange and lemons to the blender to help the mixture blend easier and remove pulp/rind.
4. Blend on high for 30 seconds.
5. Add a little water if the mixture has trouble blending, though it shouldn't be necessary.
6. Strain the blended mixture through a clean thin dish towel, small fine mesh strainer, or nut milk bag.
7. Divide the strained juice between serving glasses and enjoy.
8. For maximum benefits, top with fresh cracked black pepper immediately.
9. Consider adding a little fat, such as olive oil, to improve turmeric absorption.
10. Store any leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
11. Compost leftover pulp or freeze it into an ice cube tray to add to future smoothies or refrigerate for tonics.
