## Ingredients

- 0.25 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 0.25 cup sugar
- 1 cup whole milk
- 0.25 cup salted butter
- 1 count large egg
- 3.5 cups bread flour

## Instructions

1. Add warm water and active dry yeast to a large bowl.
2. Add a little bit of sugar to help wake up the yeast.
3. Let it sit for about 5 to 10 minutes until it gets foamy.
4. Combine whole milk and salted butter in a measuring cup.
5. Microwave the milk and butter mixture until the butter is melted, making sure it's not boiling hot.
6. Add the butter milk mixture to the yeast mixture.
7. Add one large egg to the mixture.
8. Add a quarter cup of sugar to the mixture.
9. Add three and a half cups of bread flour to the mixture.
10. Mix it all together until it forms a shaggy dough.
11. Once the dough comes together, switch to kneading it by hand.
12. Wipe out your bowl with a little bit of oil or grease.
13. Flip the dough over once or twice to coat it in the oil.
14. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for about one hour until it's doubled in size.
15. Punch down the risen dough.
16. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface.
17. Portion out the dough into 16 equal portions by weighing the dough and dividing by 16.
18. Shape each dough portion by pushing the edges up underneath itself to create a round top.
19. Evenly space the shaped rolls out in a buttered baking dish.
20. Cover them and let them rest and rise until they're fluffy and soft for about another hour.
21. Bake the rolls at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15-18 minutes.
22. Once out of the oven, brush them with some melted butter.
