## Ingredients

- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 egg
- mustard
- Worcestershire sauce
- 0.25 cup bread crumbs
- 1 package beefy onion soup mix
- oil
- 0.25 stick butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 can beef broth
- 1 package beefy onion soup mix
- Worcestershire sauce
- pepper

## Instructions

1. Add 1 pound of lean ground beef to a bowl.
2. Add 1 egg to the ground beef.
3. Squeeze some mustard into the bowl.
4. Add a little bit of Worcestershire sauce.
5. Add about a quarter to a half cup of bread crumbs.
6. Add one package of onion soup mix (beefy onion flavor is used here).
7. Mix all the ingredients in the bowl thoroughly using a glove.
8. Ball up portions of the mixture and slam them onto a paper plate to form patties, then mush them out.
9. Peel up the patty and set it aside.
10. Repeat the process to make about 4 to 5 patties.
11. Get a big, wide pan and add a teensy bit of oil.
12. Place the patties in the pan; if they don't all fit, cook them in batches.
13. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side, just to get some color on each side.
14. Remove the cooked patties from the pan and set them aside on a plate.
15. Reduce the heat to medium or medium-low.
16. Add about a quarter stick of butter to the pan.
17. Once the butter is melted, add a couple of tablespoons of flour to create a roux, mixing it with the drippings in the pan.
18. Cook the roux for about 3 minutes.
19. Add one can of beef broth to the pan and stir until smooth and combined with the roux.
20. Add water, about halfway filled in the can of beef broth, to the gravy.
21. Add a second package of beefy onion soup mix to the gravy.
22. Add a little Worcestershire sauce to the gravy.
23. Add some pepper to the gravy.
24. Place the cooked patties back into the gravy.
25. Spoon gravy over the patties to ensure they are lost in the sauce.
26. If there are any drippings on the plate, add them to the pan.
27. Put the pan on low heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes to finish cooking the patties through.
28. Serve and enjoy straight out of the pan.

## Tips

- You can use any type of mustard or even ketchup for the patties.
- If your ground beef leaves a lot of grease, you might not need to add extra butter for the roux.
- For the gravy, feel free to adjust the amount of beefy onion soup mix and Worcestershire sauce to your liking. You can also add other seasonings like pepper.
