## Ingredients

- 1.5 cup sugar
- 1.5 cup light corn syrup
- 1.75 cup peanut butter
- 9 cups Rice Krispie cereal
- 1.5 cup butterscotch chips
- 1.5 cup chocolate chips

## Instructions

1. Add sugar and corn syrup to a medium-sized pot.
2. Heat the sugar and corn syrup mixture on medium to medium-low heat until it comes just to a boil.
3. Stir the sugar mixture frequently while it is coming to a boil, ensuring all sugar crystals melt into the corn syrup for a glossy consistency.
4. Measure out the cereal into a large mixing bowl while the sugar mixture is cooking.
5. Keep an eye on the sugar mixture and stir it every once in a while.
6. Measure out the peanut butter while the sugars are still cooking.
7. Once the sugar and corn syrup mixture just comes to a boil, remove it from the heat.
8. Add the peanut butter to the hot sugar and corn syrup mixture.
9. Stir the peanut butter into the sugar and corn syrup mixture until it is all combined and has a nice glossy peanut butter consistency.
10. Pour the peanut butter mixture over all of the cereal in the mixing bowl.
11. Mix the cereal and peanut butter mixture together until all of the cereal is coated, with no dry cereal and no clumps of the peanut butter mixture.
12. Line a 9x13 baking pan with parchment paper and lightly spray it with non-stick cooking spray.
13. Transfer the coated cereal mixture to the prepared baking pan.
14. Spread the cereal mixture out evenly in the pan.
15. Add butterscotch chips and chocolate chips to a pot.
16. Melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips on low heat, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
17. Once the chocolate and butterscotch chips are melted and combined, pour the mixture over the cereal bars.
18. Spread the chocolate-butterscotch topping evenly over the bars.
19. Allow the chocolate to cool and set.
20. Pull the cooled bars out of the pan using the parchment paper.
21. Cut the bars into desired sizes.
