## Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons salt

- 1.5 cups warm water
- 4 Ice cubes

## Instructions

1. Add 3 cups of all-purpose flour to a bowl.
2. Add 2 teaspoons of salt to the flour.
3. Add 2 and a quarter teaspoons of active dry yeast (or one packet) to the flour and salt.
4. Add 1 and a half cups of warm water to the mixture.

6. Cover the bowl and let the dough proof on the counter for 2 hours.
7. After 2 hours, grab some parchment paper and lightly flour it.
8. Dump the dough onto the floured parchment paper.
9. Shape the dough into a ball.
10. Lightly flour the shaped dough.
11. Cut a square into the top of the dough with a sharp knife to help it rise.
12. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and place your Dutch oven inside to heat up.
13. Carefully place the dough on the parchment paper into the preheated Dutch oven.
14. Add 4 ice cubes behind the parchment paper in the Dutch oven; the steam helps create a crusty exterior.
15. Cover the Dutch oven and place it on a beat up pan to prevent the bottom of the bread from burning.
16. Bake at 450°F (232°C) for 30 minutes covered.
17. Bake for an additional 15 minutes uncovered for a total of 45 minutes.
