## Ingredients

- 100 g active sourdough starter
- 90 g warm water
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 210 g flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon butter
- flaky salt
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 1 cup milk
- cheddar cheese

## Instructions

1. Mix together active sourdough starter, warm water, and brown sugar.
2. Add flour, salt, and butter, then mix until you get a consistent dough.
3. Cover the dough and let it rest for 5 hours or until it basically doubles in size.
4. Once doubled, plop your dough onto a floured surface and divide it into three equal pieces.
5. Roll out each piece into a rope about 1 inch thick.
6. Cut each rope into eight 1-inch bite-sized pieces.
7. Bring a pot of water to a boil with a tablespoon of baking soda.
8. Drop the dough pieces in batches of 12 and let them boil for 30 seconds.
9. Remove the boiled dough pieces and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
10. Sprinkle each bite with a generous amount of flaky salt.
11. Put them in the oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for around 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
12. While the pretzel bites are baking, make the cheese dip by melting butter and adding flour.
13. Add milk to the butter and flour mixture.
14. Add shredded cheese to the mixture and melt it until a smooth dip forms.
15. Serve the golden-brown pretzel bites with the cheese dip.
