# Japanese BBQ Chuck Roast

## Ingredients

- 2 1/2 lb chuck roast
- 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
- 1 whole head garlic, cloves separated and peeled
- 1 1/2 cup beef bone broth
- 1/2 cup bachan’s original japanese barbecue sauce
- 2 to 3 tbsp bachan’s original japanese barbecue sauce (optional)
- jasmine rice
- to taste green onion, sliced
- to taste sesame seed
- to taste lime wedge (optional)

## Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
2. Add the chuck roast, onion, garlic, bone broth, and Bachan’s to a dutch oven.
3. Mix and coat the chuck roast.
4. Cover and bake until the beef shreds easily with a fork, about 4 hours.
5. Skim off the excess fat from the braising liquid.
6. Shred the beef and mix with the braising juices.
7. Taste and add 2 to 3 tablespoons more Bachan’s if you want a stronger Japanese BBQ flavor.
8. Serve over jasmine rice and finish with green onions, sesame seeds, and fresh lime juice.
