# Old-Fashioned Chocolate Pudding

A rich, silky, homemade chocolate pudding made from scratch in the old-fashioned way.

## Ingredients

- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 cup milk
- 2 whole egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla

## Instructions

1. Whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, cocoa powder, and salt in a saucepan.
2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and egg yolks until well combined.
3. Slowly whisk the milk and egg mixture into the dry ingredients in the saucepan.
4. Place on medium heat and stir constantly until thickened and bubbling; boil for 1 minute.
5. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.

## Tips

- If you want a thicker pudding, you can boil for 2 to 3 minutes.
- The pudding may rise up while boiling; if so, lift it off the heat and continue to stir.
