## Ingredients

- 1.5 cups coffee beans
- 6 cups water

## Instructions

1. Grind 1.5 cups (80 grams) of coffee beans to a coarse consistency, like coarse cornmeal.
2. Add the ground coffee to a half-gallon container.
3. For the immersion method, add 6 cups (1400 grams) of cold or room temperature water. Stir well, cover and refrigerate for 12-24 hours.
4. For the hot bloom method, add 1/3 of the water (hot, around 205°F) and let it sit for one minute. Then, add the remaining cold water. Stir well, cover, and refrigerate for 12-24 hours.
5. After 12-24 hours, strain the cold brew through a fine mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth, or use a pour over coffee maker for a smoother, grit-free result.
