# Jack and Coke beef jerky

## Ingredients

- 1 whole beef
- 1/2 cup Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey
- 1/2 cup Coca-Cola
- 2 whole jalapeño
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder

## Instructions

1. Place the meat in the freezer to firm it up, making it easier to cut.
2. Combine equal parts Jack Daniel's and Coca-Cola in a saucepan.
3. Slice jalapeños and add them to the saucepan.
4. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to the mixture, bring to a simmer, and cook until the volume is reduced by half.
5. Remove the fat from the beef and cut it into quarter-inch slices.
6. Place the beef slices in a container or Ziploc bag, pour the cooled marinade over, and let it marinate overnight.
7. Lay the beef on a wire rack and cook in a smoker under 200 degrees indirect heat until done.
8. Place the jerky into a Ziploc bag to steam for a minute before serving.
