## Ingredients

- 1 1/2 lb ground beef
- 2 can black beans
- 1 can kidney beans
- 2 can diced tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 whole yellow onion
- 4 whole garlic clove
- 1 whole jalapeño pepper
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper

## Instructions

1. Heat a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until it is no longer pink and develops a deep brown crust.
2. Add the finely diced yellow onion, minced garlic cloves, and finely chopped jalapeño pepper. Cook until the onion softens and becomes translucent.
3. Stir in the tomato paste, chili powder, ground cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook, stirring constantly.
4. Add the diced tomatoes with their juices to the pot and stir to combine.
5. Pour in the brewed coffee and beef broth, stirring to deglaze the pot. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
6. Add the black beans and kidney beans. Stir, then reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer.
7. Taste the chili and adjust seasoning if needed before serving.
