# Churros Caseros con Chocolate Caliente o Atole de Chocolate

## Ingredients

- 1 taza agua
- 2 cdas. mantequilla
- 0.25 cdta. sal
- 2 cdas. azúcar
- 1 taza harina de trigo
- 1 huevo
- para freír aceite
- azúcar
- 1.5 taza agua
- 2 rajas canela
- 3 clavos de olor
- 4 pastillas chocolate
- 1 pizca sal
- 3 tazas leche
- chorrito vainilla
- 5 cucharaditas fécula de maíz

## Instructions

1. In a pot, put water, butter, salt and sugar.
2. When it boils, add the flour passing it through a strainer.
3. Mix vigorously with a wooden spoon over low heat.
4. To prevent them from bursting, the dough should be smooth and without lumps.
5. When it is warm, add a beaten egg and combine very well.
6. Form circles from the outside in without stopping to press.
7. With chopsticks, keep turning it.
8. When you see the edges golden, turn them over.
9. While they are hot, cover them with sugar and cinnamon and cut them into portions.
10. Mix cinnamon, water, cloves and chocolate.
11. When it boils, take out the cinnamon and cloves and put the milk.
12. Add cornstarch dissolved in milk and do not stop mixing until it boils.
13. Add vanilla.

## Tips

- Para evitar que estallen los churros debes mezclar y amasar bien la masa y romper todas las burbujas de aire que podrían crearse en ella, por lo que debe estar totalmente homogénea, evita que haya pedazos de harina o líquido sin amasar.
- Al colocar la mezcla en la manga evites dejar espacios vacíos para eso vas apretando la manga a medida que vas llenado la misma para que el contenido quede bien compacto.
