# Shokupan (Japanese Milk Bread)

## Ingredients

- 18 g honey
- 25 g granulated sugar
- 6 g active dry yeast
- 170 ml warm water
- 300 g all-purpose flour
- 20 g non-fat dry milk
- 25 g softened butter

## Instructions

1. In a bowl, combine honey, sugar, active dry yeast, and warm water. Stir until dissolved.
2. Add all-purpose flour and dry milk to a separate large mixing bowl. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture. Stir until combined.
3. Transfer the mixture to a stand mixer bowl, add the softened butter, and knead until a smooth dough forms.
4. Shape the dough into a smooth ball and let it proof covered with a towel.
5. Divide the dough, place it into a loaf pan, and cover with plastic wrap to let rise.
6. Bake in the oven until golden brown.
