## Ingredients

- 12 whole large hard boiled egg
- 2 to 3 sprig fresh dill
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 large white onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon coarse salt
- 1 whole bay leaf
- 4 teaspoon pickling spices

## Instructions

1. Combine onion, white vinegar, water, sugar, salt, bay leaf, and pickling spices in a medium saucepan.
2. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce to a simmer, and let simmer.
3. Remove from the heat and cool slightly.
4. Add a garlic clove to an empty glass jar, and place 3 hard-boiled eggs on top.
5. Layer the eggs with some of the cooked onion slices and a sprig of fresh dill, repeating until the jar is full.
6. Pour the pickling liquid over the eggs.
7. Close the jar and refrigerate for at least 3-4 days before eating.
